Vanderbilt Medical Center operates two Emergency Departments; the Adult Emergency Department at Vanderbilt University Hospital (VUH) and the Emergency Department of Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital; in combination the departments see >103,000 patients per year.
EMS transports patients to many areas of the Vanderbilt Medical Center campus including: * Vanderbilt University Hospital (VUH) * Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt * The Vanderbilt Clinic (TVC) * Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center * Psychiatric Hospital at Vanderbilt (PHV * Vanderbilt Stallworth Rehabilitation Hospital * Nashville Veterans Administration Medical Center (VA) Each of these institutions can receive patients via ambulance; however the majority come thru the Emergency Department(s). Vanderbilt has 832 licensed beds, has >45,000 admissions per year, 1,000,000 clinic visits per year and an annual budget of >$195,000,000.
